The Sustainable Urban Freight Coalition (SUFC), curated by The Energy and
Resources Institute (TERI), is a consortium of stakeholders of urban freight from
government, industry and academia. SUFC aims for decarbonising urban freight in
India by
Facilitating discussion on decarbonizing urban freight in national, state and local
level policy processes
Demonstrating technical feasibility, economic viability and environmental
benefits of low carbon technologies through scalable pilot projects in urban
freight
Advocating rapid low carbon transition of urban freight by facilitating
partnerships and experience sharing
Providing platform for sustainable urban freight related knowledge building
As a member of SUFC we shall take action on urban freight and climate change
within the mandate that we have within our state/city/company by:
Committing to take action for achieving
Net zero emissions from urban freight in India by 2050.
India’s target of EV30 by 2030 by accelerating adoption of EVs in
urban freight.
33-35% reduction in CO2 emission intensity from urban freight
between 2005 and 2030
Promoting directions and policy actions for building roadmap for minimizing
impact of urban freight on air pollution, congestion and accidents.
Building partnerships for interventions to reduce costs and emissions from
urban freight
Contributing to promote SUF activities and objectives.
In addition, we pledge to nurture SUFC community by:
Sharing our experiential knowledge through SUFC platforms
Actively participating in SUFC workshops and discussion forums
Building SUFC community members
We understand that our membership may be reviewed annually
